Calling all budding hockey players!!

Last year, we fielded a homeschool hockey side, and played in the schools league.  We were usually

1 or 2 players short, but the boys had a great time. 

The players join the Constantiaberg Mini-hockey club, which practices either on Friday afternoon (U12 upwards) or Sat morning 9am at the fields on Children�s Way, Bergvliet (fees are about R100

for the season).  We then play as a Constantiaberg club side, and the team may include players who are at a school, but don�t get to play matches as the school does not play in the league.  Matches are usually Thursday afternoon.  This is open to girls and boys, and all ages, although the side we are likely to field this year will be U13.  If there are sufficient numbers, we can field other age group sides.

ATHLETICS and SWIMMING opportunity.

John Wycliffe Christian School has offered homeschoolers (and people from other Christian schools without facilities) the opportunity to make up an extra house for their inter-house swimming gala and athletics events.

 

Grades 0 � 3

On Saturday 2 March there is an athletics and swimming event.  It will be held from 12H30 to 16h00 at Sunlands Primary School.

There will be events to suite all children � no matter what their abilities!!

Grades 4 to 12

The gala is to be held on the 15th of Feb from 8:30 to 1:30 at Wynberg public swimming pool.

The athletics day is on the 1st of March. It is to be from 8:30 to 1:30 at Claremont Primary School.

 

If you are interested, you must

reply URGENTLY giving your name, age, preferred event and contact details.

(Note: Most events will be individual. Relays can only be arranged once we have sufficient numbers for a given event.)
